Introduction
to
SERVICE SINKS
Over the next
several pages, we are pleased to introduce our line of terrazzo
mop service basins. These are usually found in the janitor's closet,
and may take many different shapes, depending on your need and space
constraints. All of our sinks are made of terrazzo, a combination
of white Portland cement and gray marble chips, and are floor mounted.
Terrazzo is a sturdy material which resists stains and moisture,
and can easily be returned to a fresh appearance after heavy use.
Our sinks are cast to have a compressive strength of 3000 PSI, and
can be produced with tiling flange or stainless steel caps, which
are cast integral to help protect the edges from the heavy impact
they will receive. The tiling flange gives a better seal and protection
against the wall. Our heavy duty brass drain is cast integral, to
help prevent leaking, and comes standard with a stainless steel
strainer. These are rugged durable sinks, designed to last for years
and years, which can be installed easily on the finished floor,
with no subpan required. We wanted to offer styles that would appeal
to everyone, and below are some features to help you find the service
sink that will best fit your needs.
We
started with the basic square or rectangular mop sink and tried
to include something for everyone. Information on these models is
found under the heading, "Serviceptor", "MTB", and "Elfin". The
Elfin includes one corner model as well. To expand on this basic
style a bit, we also designed square and rectangular basins with
a drop front and stainless steel cap on the threshold. This cap
is cast integral when the sink is poured, and helps to protect this
section of heaviest use. Information on these models is located
under "HiLow". To maximize the efficient use of space, we also developed
the corner service basin, which is available in both drop front
and standard height models. Please click on "Cornaro" for standard
12" high sinks, and "CORlow" and "Crescent" for information on the
drop front styles. If you do not find what you need, custom units
can be manufactured upon request. Please see our page on Custom
Items for additional information on this area.
