WHY
TILING FLANGES?
When tiling flanges are provided on Stern-Williams service sinks
or shower floors, they make the joint between the unit and wall
watertight. The flange goes into the wall construction and the wall
covering is dropped over it.
On
service sinks, the last digit of our numbering system denotes the
number of tiling flanges, e.g.:

If
the unit is to be placed against one unfinished wall, one tiling
flange would be needed; that is, Models SB-901, -801, -701, etc.
When
the basin is to be placed in a corner, two tiling flanges are required:
that is: SB-902, -802, -702, etc. These models are square and all
we need to know is that two flanges are required. HOWEVER, the SB-302
and -202 models are rectangular and flanging is across the back
and either on the Ieft side or the right side of the basin, i.e.SB-202-L.
